Co-hosted by ARC and SCAA, the Summer Internship Programme 2010 is opening for student nomination. All local universities and tertiary institutions are invited to nominate Year 1 and Year 2 students to participate in the programme.

Placement Procedure

1) Nomination received will be passed on to programme participating members, affiliates and firms.

2) Nominated students will be subsequently invited to interview directly by the relevant firms.

3) Successful candidates recruited are free to negotiate with the relevant firms for period of employment, salary and working days.

Period of Internship

The suggested period of internship is from June to August 2010, namely the peak season of completing tax returns for the financial statements with the year ended 31 December 2009.

Free Audit Junior Induction Workshop

To better equip students of the programme, Audit Junior Induction Workshop will be arranged for all recruited students free of charge. Speakers includes SCAA Council members Miss Stella Choy, Mr. Nelson Lam and other senior experienced professionals.

Workshop scheduled to include:

- Two 3-hour workshops

- Introduction of the audit process and audit procedures

- Update on financial reporting and auditing standards

- Preparation of profits tax computation
